A meditation on being a whole-ish human

I like this song that considers "What does it mean to be human?"

"Once everyone starts seeing each other as a brother, a sister, a human being. Beauty will spread like wildfire"

It's easy to feel less than human, as if there is a void to fill that you need to chase to fill externally. Often that void is easily filled with vices

What makes us whole-heartedly human? What is at the essence of our fundamental core of who we are, that is 'enough'?

I like Alan Watt's "The Spectrum of Love"

"In tying up love in knots or becoming incapable of it, you can't destroy this energy. When you won't love, or won't let it out it emerges anyway in the form of self-destruction.

...love is not a sort of rare commodity - everyone has it. Existence is love. Everybody has the force running. They relate in much the same way as the colours produced by passing light through a prism. We might say the red end is Dr Freud's libido and the violet end is agape, the divine love or divine charity and in the middle. the various yellows, blues and greens are as friendship, human endearment and consideration.

The essential point is to consider love as a spectrum. There is not, as it were just nice love and nasty love, spiritual love, material love, mature affection on the one hand infatuation on the other. These are all forms of the same energy. You have to take it and let it grow where you find it.

When you find only one form of these existing, if at least you water it, the rest will blossom as well"

I'd like to relate to that part of me, my being, that accepts my totality (and 'others') lovingly. Stop the mindless rat-race chase and be enough for a moment.

Fill my core with what matters - love, care, kindness, compassion etc. Bask in the light of that Is-ness and just Be.

Top up the reservoirs of the Heart from within until they overflow, not chasing from a feeling of lack, but a feeling of being whole and being able to radiate that.

I particularly resonate with the Sri Yantra - a symbolic path to understanding the elements that make a person whole.

I hope today you can feel for a moment 'enough' and just Be, from your Heart.
